Ouya, the Android  powered gaming console everyone’s talking about, has enjoyed one of the most successful Kick starter campaigns so far, and already has the indie crowd (and more) salivating and rubbing their hands in anticipation. And if that wasn’t enough, CEO Julie Uhrman has released a statement on the official Ouya blog that a further $15 million of funding has been raised, backed by big time investors such as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Mayfield Fund and NVIDIA.

This will allow the company to meet the current overwhelming demand and touch up on any issues before the final release, as well as publicize their product out to the general crowd more. The release date, however, has been pushed back 3 weeks to June 25th, 2013.
